From Nanning to London,
chasing a bigger world.
A journey through campus entrepreneurship, China’s social-commerce engine, the US creator economy and a new chapter in the UK.
- 2013Nanning · Campus commerce · 50-person sales network
Accounting on paper. Consumer curiosity in practice.
I began an Accounting degree in Nanning, but university quickly became my first lesson in consumer behaviour. I built a private customer community selling Japanese and Korean skincare and led a 50-person campus sales network. Long before “social commerce” became a job title, I was learning why people trust recommendations, how communities convert and why FMCG moves fast.
- 2019Shanghai · Douyin · Kuaishou · RedNote · Tmall
Shanghai: choosing the unknown.
After graduation, I moved to Shanghai because the scale and uncertainty of the city felt magnetic. I entered China’s fastest-moving digital ecosystem and worked across Douyin, Kuaishou, RedNote and Tmall—learning how short-form content, creator influence, search and e-commerce operate as one connected journey.
- 2023US market · TikTok · Instagram · DTC
The market became global.
My first US TikTok project changed the map. I began working beyond China—building international DTC foundations, shaping Instagram content and learning how creator marketing travels differently across cultures. Moritek became the clearest expression of that shift: a China-native beauty brand translated into an international website, Instagram and TikTok presence.
- 2025University of Leeds · London · International growth
Leeds, London and the next horizon.
After six years in industry, I chose another deliberate leap: moving to the UK for an MSc in International Marketing Management at the University of Leeds. It pushed my China commerce experience into a wider international context. Today, I bring both cultural fluency and hands-on market-building experience to global growth challenges.
Challenge is
a habit.
I am drawn to experiences that demand presence and nerve—outdoors, underwater and on two wheels. Diving and motorcycling remind me that confidence is built by moving through uncertainty, not around it.
